After recharging our energy levels over Christmas we sprung into 2019 with exciting website and digital marketing projects for new and existing clients. With so much happening at a rapid pace we wanted to share how we’ve been bringing people and brands closer together, and give an insight into the dynamic expertise and firepower within Red Balloon’s close-knit team.

Frankie & Benny’s email concepts

To kick off 2019 we did what everyone wants to do when they come back off holiday… get stuck into Email! Actually, it was a lot of fun and with thorough investigative work we sought to deliver a more effective and impactful email marketing strategy for the Frankie & Benny’s brand. This included analysing and developing concepts for the client’s internal creative team to take inspiration and direction from for their email marketing going forward.

Our consultancy and ideas helped the client to deliver a new and more successful email campaign, and refined their special offers towards what was engaging their users most. In comparison to the historical data, the emails that followed our direction were very successful, with their Open Rate and Click-Through-Rate increasing by 1%.

Mizuno ST190 and RB Tour/X balls launches

In January we played an integral role in delivering a range of exciting product launches for Mizuno Golf – including new apparel for Spring/Summer, the new range of ST190 Woods and Mizuno’s first global launch of a golf ball, the RB-Tour. We delivered an immersive digital platform for the ST190 range that integrated client photography and video in new ways and showcases the design of the clubs and technological development that went into the creation of Mizuno’s best performing woods range to date.

Alongside this we built pages for other products being released in tandem with the woods, including the new RB Tour golf balls, JPX Fli-Hi utility club and JPX919 Hot Metal Pro irons.

Galaxy S10 launch for our new partner Onecom

In February we were approached by business communications experts Onecom – the UK’s largest independent B2B telecoms provider. On short notice we delivered a landing page announcing the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S10 phone range. We also created a full product page showcasing the individual phones within the range and their benefits for business clients.

Our partnership with Onecom goes far beyond these projects and in the near future we will work on creating a new, improved website and evolving their existing brand. Click here to find out more about our partnership with Onecom.

Birdbox

As part of the launch of a new online restaurant brand – Birdbox – inspired by American fried chicken concepts, we designed and developed a website that showcases Birdbox’s menu and gives users easy paths to order food from partnered delivery providers.

We also designed and created banner ad campaign that was distributed over Google Display Network to help promote the new brand as well as attract new customers. The campaign was a huge success and resulted in 87% increase in sales!

New team members

In 2018 we achieved a lot through growing our existing partnerships, taking on numerous new clients and delivering impactful design solutions that allowed our clients to evolve their business. In 2019 we’re expanding our team with the recent addition of Ellis – our new Digital Account Manager, his industry experience and expertise has already had a great impact on our team and business, and Alice, our new Junior Designer who’ll be working closely with our Creative Director to help us continue to produce inspirational websites and brands for the organisations we work with.

These additions are adding masses of talent and expertise to add to our existing skill-set and further improve our service offering as we move forwards in 2019.

What next?

With such a great start of the year and many more great projects to crack into ahead, we are looking forward to what’s in store for us for the rest of 2019.
